ID pointers: Pale yellow-grey forewing with a broad pale and poorly defined yellowish fascia. Relatively large than other Nepticulidae.
Distribution: (Last record: 19 November 2025 at Lady Cannings Plantation ) – Uncertain due to insufficient data – 1986 Beeley Moor – Maybe locally common where there is Mountain Ash (Rowan), leaf mines discovered 26/6/2017 at Lady Cannings Plantation.
General Comment: None Mine Period Additional: the leaf mines, containing the greenish-white larvae, appear from June into July. The species overwinters as a pupa.

Mine Feeding Method/s: Not Recorded
Mine Comment: An early leaf miner. The mine is distinctive, starting as a narrow, winding gallery with frass (excrement) that soon abruptly widens into a large, round blotch with scattered frass. There are often several mines within a single compound leaf.
