ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Fairly distinctive little moth with purple cross-bands on the trailing area of the forewing and a purple trailed edge to the hindwing on an otherwise ochre ground colour.
Distribution:  (Last record: 1978 )  –  Scarce and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Last recorded in 1978 so maybe it is now extinct in the county
