ID Difficulty:  amber  – care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely – quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Grapholita janthinana
Distribution:  (First record: 23 June 2025 at Norton Lees )  –  (Last record: 23 June 2025 at Norton Lees )  –  Nationally scarce (Na) was formerly known from a few orchards in Kent. Few records in Britain but now seems to have spread northwards, having been recorded from many counties, even reaching as far north as Yorkshire. A first record for VC57 and Derbyshire when one trapped at Norton Lees on 21st June 2025.
