Tortricidae – Olethreutinae – Grapholita funebrana – Plum Fruit Moth
STATUS – Uncertain – only 1 record from 21.7.2020
ID POINTERS – They can easily be confused with Grapholita tenebrosana, especially as that species is also attracted to lures designed for G. funebrana, both species sometimes being found together in a trap. They can be separated by the colour of the palps; dull greyish brown in G. funebrana, greyish white on G. tenebrosana . The genitalia of the males are distinct. Forewing has a rather rounded apex and termen. Blackish brown suffused with greyish scales, forming a greyish dorsal blotch that is indistinct.
FLIGHT PERIOD – On the wing during June – July
