ID pointers: A narrow and slightly pointed forewing. Greyish-brown mixed whitish-grey. Irregular pale lines across the wing. Orangey-brown in final third of wing.
Distribution: (Last record: 11 August 2024 at Norton Lees ) – Widely distributed but uncommon in the county. Where there are Pinus sp. Has spread with the commercial growth of Pine trees.
General Comment: None Mine Period Additional: Larva bores into pine needles which it mines until October, then overwinters until the following spring when it recommences.
