ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
Distribution:  (Last record: 1 January 2026 at Nether North Grain, Snake Road. )  –  Harrison & Sterling recorded this species as being common on the high moorlands of Derbyshire. Modern day records – can only find one account from Beeley Moor on 3/8/1984. One was trapped at Nether North Grain, Snake Road on 24th August 2025 by Neil Sherman (Suffolk CMR & Friends) – subsequently identified as a male by Gen Det.
