ID Difficulty:  amber  – care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely – quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Phaulernis fulviguttella (Yellow-spotted Drab)
ID pointers: The adults are a dark and sombre grey and fairly plain looking, some with variable whitish markings, and a noticeable tuft of scales on the dorsum. There can be a creamy blotch on the dorsum just below the thorax.
Distribution:  Uncertain only one record prior to 2010 (DaNES)
