ID Difficulty:  Red – difficult to identify – detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
Confusion Species: P. harrisella, P. roboris P. tenerella
ID pointers: A Leaf-miner – Forewing white, with a narrow dark brownish basal streak, which is distinctive. A black spot in the apex area of the forewing.
Distribution:  Uncertain, very few records. Probably locally common in Oak Woodlands.

Mine Comment: Can be found throughout the winter on Oak. The larvae form small blister mines on the underside of oak leaves, usually at a lobe, causing the tip to fold over.
