Other Name/s: Brown Oak Slender
ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
Distribution:  (First record: 7 May 2025 at Markham Vale (North Tip) )  –  (Last record: 29 June 2025 at Norton Lees )  –  Uncertain – Likely to be a species overlooked and one that may well be spreading into the recording area from nearby counties. This record of the leaf mine represents the first record of the species for the VC57. – one recorded from Norton Lees on 29/6/2025 was first confirmed record of an adult.
Flight Period: July /  –  Univoltine and can overwinter appearing during the following Spring. Mine Period: May /  June /   – The larvae feed on Oak and characteristically make twisting initial mines in the upper epidermis, which then join to form a large papery blotch, with a silvery appearance.
