Blue -  Generally Common / Widespread   
Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A variable species displaying colour forms from yellow through to dark brown. Contrasting darker cross bands, fringed white, through the forewing, pale fringes to the trailing edge of the wing with a small diagonal pale or white line running into the forewing from the wing tip. Diagnostic feature is the Chevron shaped central cross-band.
Distribution:  A resident species, widely distributed and locally common on the upland moors in Derbyshire, where it seems to be well established. Uncommon or absent from other areas of the county.
