Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Depressariidae Other Name/s: Brindled Flat-body ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: As with most of the Agonopterix group the moth rest flat with overlapping wings. Forewing pale sandy brown with an obvious dark brown blob on each forewing and a pair of small spots above each blob. A series of small faint spots/marks along the costa.
Distribution:  A fairly common moth throughout the county where there is Sallow (Salix).

Food Plant: Thistles, Knapweeds, Burdocks.
