ID Difficulty:  Red – difficult to identify – detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
Confusion Species: Grapholita funebrana(Plum Fruit Moth)
Distribution:  (Last record: 1984 (August) at Matlock Moor )  –  The species is widespread in Britain but does not readily come to light. It is easier seen by using  the Pheromone Lure FUN, designed for attracting G.funebrana or search for the larvae in Rose hips. Harrison & Sterling Ticknall & Repton 1928; Matlock Moor bred from a box containing Mountain Ash berries 1984. iRecord- 2 records  of adults claimed in June 2024 from Cromford but couldn’t be accepted as no Gen Det (CAT 4).
