ID Difficulty:  amber  – care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely – quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  C.tinctella
ID pointers: Fairly distinctive in appearance. A yellow head and golden brown body and forewings.
Distribution:  Formally Batia unitella – Status unsure, not listed in Harrison & Sterling (1988). Suspect locally common but seems to be widespread across most parts of the county.
