Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Prodoxidae Other Name/s: Scarce Bright ID Difficulty:  Red - difficult to identify - detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
ID pointers: The head is yellow or orange with the rest of the forewing a rather bland and uniform dark brown, can show a slight purplish sheen.
Distribution:  (Last record: 30/05/2024 )  -  Nationally Scarce B – The moth is quite local across the British Isles, occurring scarcely in a few widely scattered areas. The county status remains unknown, as this is the first record of an adult for Derbyshire. Recorded on 30th May 2024.
