Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Green Oak Tortrix
ID pointers: A small green species, reminiscent of Green Oak Tortrix. The white leading edge to the forewing and the white hindwing help to distinguish this species.
Distribution:  (First record: 1993 )  -  (Last record: 10/08/2024 at Chaddesden, Derby )  -  A Nationally Scarce B species and very rare in our county. Very few documented records since 1993. Only three individuals reported in the period 2013-2018, all during June-July. It is regularly recorded in Notts. An individual trapped at Darwin Forest, Matlock, on 28th June 2023. The species continues to maintain its rare status in the county. One trapped at Chaddesden, Derby 10th August 2024.
