ID pointers: Diagnostic snout species, triangular shaped, with a large chocolate brown panel on each forewing. 
Distribution:  (First record: 06/06/2000 at Blacka Moor, Dore. )  -  (Last record: 30/06/2024 at Longdendale )  -  First recorded in Derbyshire in 2000 – This species has expanded its range northwards in recent years. It remains a widespread but localised species in Derbyshire, with most records from the central and northern areas of VC57.
