Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: Females are wingless. A variable brownish moth with a contrasting darker brown cross band, edged pale, through the forewing, with a central dark kidney mark. Hind wing is very pale cream colour with a neat chequered band along the trailing edge.
Distribution:  (Last record: 2024 )  -  A resident species that appears to have become rather scarce and localised in the county, with very few records. Once common and widely distributed in Derbyshire. A species that may be suffering.
