Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: Rather weakly marked light to dark grey moth with several faint darker cross-bands, often with a pale band within. A black central spot.
Distribution:  (Last record: 22/08/2023 at Longdendale )  -  Locally common near Edale, and small colonies elsewhere in the Peak District moorland areas. Absent from low-lying areas of the county. 
Flight Period: May /  June /  July /  -  On the wing between  May – July
