ID Difficulty:  Red – difficult to identify – detailed examination required, often a Gen Det and/or specimen and quality photographs are required.
Confusion Species: Clay Triple-lines
ID pointers: The tip of forewing is pointed. Rather plain looking and softly speckled with light or darker pinkish brown markings. The cenral cross-line is irregular in appearance and can be blurred or even absent. Intensity of markings and colour can be variable.
Distribution:  (First record: 23 October 2024 at Belper )  –  (Last record: 23 October 2024 at Belper )  –  A new species for VC57 & Derbyshire – One trapped overnight at Belper on 23rd October 2024 by Dave Newcombe. This species is an uncommon immigrant to Britain being recorded in small numbers each year, usually during a times of high migrant moth activity. In recent years it has been trappe dalong the south coats with more regularity so maybe it will become a new colonist in the future.
