Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Tortricidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A variable species. The ground colour can range from creamy yellow to rich chestnut-brown or dark brown. A dark diagonal cross band that blends out towards the inner forewing edge and a dark brown wedge shaped mark on the costa near the wing tip. Several dark dots and specks scattered across the forewings.
Distribution:  (Last record: 06/07/2023 at Staveley )  -  Described in 1988 as very common in most areas across the county. Likes damp ground with exception of the moorlands. Since 2007 only 29 records – the last one in 2023 – would indicate status as uncommon
