ID pointers: A flat looking moth with the forewing dark brown with yellowish bases to the scales, giving it a speckled appearance. Four blackish-brown spots often with a yellowish patch of scales adjacent. There are further yellowish scale patches at about two thirds one on costa and one near the tornus and can form a cross-band.
Distribution: A fairly common and widespread species in the county.
Flight Period: April / May / June / July / August / September / - On the wing Mid April – September.
