Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Gelechiidae Other Name/s: Dark Neb, Dark Groundling ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
ID pointers: A flat looking moth with the forewing dark brown with yellowish bases to the scales, giving it a speckled appearance. Four blackish-brown spots often with a yellowish patch of scales adjacent. There are further yellowish scale patches at about two thirds one on costa and one near the tornus and can form a cross-band.
Distribution:  A fairly common and widespread species in the county.
