ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Forewing yellowish-brown, shaded darker with an obscure cross-band and a few black marks  including a small raised scale-tuft. Can rest with slightly curved wings.
Distribution:  (Last record: 28/07/2024 at Ilkeston )  -  Uncommon and widespread but localised where there is gorse.
