Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Depressariidae Other Name/s: Straw Flat-body ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  A. pallorella and A. bipunctosa
ID pointers: A fairly uniformly-buff-coloured species, with two or four darker dots on the forewing. The adult can be distinguished from A. pallorella and A. bipunctosa by the rusty orange marks on its wings, though these may be minimal on worn specimens. Also, it lacks the pitchy black edge at the base of the costa found on A. pallorella.
Distribution:  (Last record: 10/07/2021 at Buxton )  -  Uncertain – Can only find one record from Buxton 10/7/2021, since 1985. (formally A.liturella) – On Knapweeds.
