Blue -  Generally Common / Widespread   
Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A smaller version of the Large Yellow Underwing with the exception of the small black spots near to the wing tip on forewing and a black crescent shaped mark on the hindwing. The ground colour is a pale brown to a pale grey-brown, but can be very variable.
Distribution:  A resident species that is widely distributed and generally common in all areas of Derbyshire.
