Confusion Species: Scarce Footman
ID pointers: The lead grey forewings curve gently over the body rather than wrapped as in Scarce Footman. Also the yellow collar shows a small central grey area. The yellow stripe along leading edge of forewing narrows distinctly towards the wing tip.
Distribution: A resident species in Derbyshire that is widely distributed and locally common.
Flight Period: July / August / - On the wing July – August.
