Confusion Species: Common Footman
ID pointers: dentified from Common Footman by the way it folds its wings around the body, the collar which is completely yellow and the yellow stripe along the leading edge of the forewing extends to the wing tip without appearing to be noticeably narrower.
Distribution: A new species for Derbyshire in 1997, with the next record in 2000. Now a locally uncommon species but increasing in numbers and an established resident in the county. Small numbers are recorded most years and there has been a gradual and slow increase of site records across the county, with most records from the south.
Forewing: 15-18mm
