Blue -  Generally Common / Widespread        day-flying - Day-flying
Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The overall ground colour is white with a cross-band of  dark & light brown. The pattern of the cross-band can be very variable. There is also a black discal spot. The banding between the subterminal line and the fringe of the forewing is a delicate silver with darker lines and flecks.
Distribution:  A resident species, common and widely distributed throughout Derbyshire. Sometimes found in large numbers and often seen on the wing during the day.
