ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Relatively dull brown in colour with an obvious contrasting darker cross band through the forewing.
Distribution:  (Last record: 1977 at Matlock )  –  Very rare and very locally distributed moth across the county. It is restricted to the Trent Valley from where it is occasionally recorded.Very few, if any recent records.
Flight Period: July /  August /  –  July – August – one generation Moth Activity: Nocturnal  Diurnal   – and is attracted to light Photographed: No –  Photographed By: Not Recorded
