Distribution: (Last record: 04/09/2024 at Glossop ) - Widely distributed across the upland moorland areas of North Derbyshire, but not in large numbers. The distribution seems to be concentrated around the central part of the county, with some records from further north (Buxton).

Flight Period: July / August / September / - July – September

Moth Activity: Nocturnal

Wingspan: 32-42mm
Forewing: 15-18mm

Food Plant: Birch (Betula) and Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus).
