- easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.ID pointers: A pug that is well marked with distinct cross-lines and prominent blackish discal spots. The ground colour can appear to be two-toned greyish and rufous.
Distribution: Current status appears to be rare to uncommon and locally distributed, being restricted to the Carboniferous Limestone areas of Derbyshire.
