Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Drepanidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Characterised by its four cross-lines, or ‘lutestrings’ on the inner part of the forewing, this species sometimes shows a slight purplish tinge when fresh.
Distribution:  (Last record: 1905 )  -  Probably a former resident but now extinct in the county. Only two records known – 1853 & prior to 1905 – Ashbourne area.
