Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Sesiidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Yellow and black bands along the abdomen and yellow legs.
Distribution:  (Last record: 31/07/2024 at Crich )  -  A rare and notable species in Derbyshire and a probable resident. Another wasp-mimic so probably overlooked. Easiest way to record is by the use of pheromone lures. Nationally Scarce B.

Forewing: 10-12mm Food Plant: Usually on Pedunculate Oak, but also a wide range of other deciduous trees.
