ID pointers: Appears rolled up and squared off, like a small piece of dried grass stem. Forewing is greyish-brown or dark brown or pale yellowish brown. varying streaks and markings of forewing colours. Can show darker blotches.
Distribution: Widespread and locally common across the county where there are Thistles and Lesser Knapweed.
Flight Period: June / July / August / - On the wing during June – August.
Moth Activity: Nocturnal Crepuscular - and is attracted to light
