Confusion Species:  Eucosma hohenwartiana
ID pointers: Male forewing yellowish brown in the dorsal third and brown to reddish-brown over rest of wing. The ocellus is pale, usually containing two or three long black dashes, often broken. The females forewing is pale and unicolorous with a pale ocellus.
Distribution:  (Last record: 01/08/2024 at Sandiacre )  -  A relatively uncommon species in Britain. The Derbyshire status is Uncertain due to insufficient data – The moth maybe local on Sow Thistle – Very few modern day records.
