Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Tortricidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Forewing reddish-brown to orangey-brown, variably speckled black, with narrow white cross-bands or spots. Very attractively marked.
Distribution:  (First record: 1949 )  -  (Last record: 03/09/2023 at Buxton )  -  Status uncertain – one record in Harrison & Sterling -1949 – Only two other record in 2023 from the north of the county. Would expect it to be common on the heather moorlands of Derbyshire. Most probably under-recorded.
Flight Period: June /  July /  August /  September /  -  On the wing during June – September. Flies late afternoon and evening. Easily disturbed during the day from heather.
