Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Choreutidae Other Name/s: Common Nettle-tap ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Fairly distinctive in appearance, with a dark brown forewing, variably speckled with white, dark brownish cross-bands and whitish markings on the costa, forming fine white lines. Chequered fringes to the forewing.
Distribution:  Widely distributed and common to abundant in the county.
Flight Period: April /  May /  June /  July /  August /  September /  October /  November /  -  On the wing during April – November.
