Other Name/s: Large Lance-wing, Epermenia illigerella
ID Difficulty:  green  – easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A fairly distinctive and well marked species. A yellowish-brown forewing, being mottled darker at base, along costa and towards the apex. A diagonal dark brown cross band about half way across the forewing. Scale tufts on the dorsum. The wing apex is hooked and edged black.
Distribution:  (First record: 11 August 2007 at Foremark Reservoir )  –  (Last record: 12 August 2025 at Chisworth )  –  One from Foremark Reservoir in 2007 and four from Markham Vale, 3 in August 2023 and one in August 2024, all from Markham Vale CP recorded by Sid Morris, one from Chaddesden 25/7/2025. The species appears to be established at Markham Vale. One from Chisworth 12/8/25
