ID Difficulty:
- easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A tiny moth, elongated and long winged. Greyish in colour shaded with yellowish-white markings. Several short black streaks along the forewing, one interrupted with a white spot.
Distribution: Probably locally common on Poplar and Sallow. Appears to be widespread across the county and recorded in small numbers
Flight Period: June / July / August / September / - On the wing in June – September
Moth Activity: Nocturnal - and is attracted to light
