Only a leaf mine in its early phase when the young larva creates a long slender gallery mine in a leaf of Greater Stitchwort. The mine often follows the midrib of the leaf. After initial mining phase, the larva moves out to feed within spun shoots or flower buds, which it may wrinkle and whiten.
