Taxonomy:   Micro  >>  Gelechiidae Other Name/s: Humped Crest, Humped Groundling ID Difficulty:  amber  - care required in the identification process, as confusion with similar species is likely - quality photographs required.
Confusion Species:  Similar to a number of other Gelechid species – Gen. Det identification, if unsure.
ID pointers: Note the black line along the bottom edge of the thorax/wing base of the forewings and extensive raised scale tufts are distinctive.
Distribution:  (Last record: 07/08/2020 at Allestree )  -  Found on Oak but current status in the county unknown/uncertain due to insufficient data, with only one or two records.
