Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: An unmistakable moth. The forewing is a patchwork of tawny, olive-brown and straw markings with a pinched-in whitish central band.
Distribution:   A resident that is generally uncommon but widely distributed in Derbyshire. Found predominantly in the Trent Valley in small numbers each season. Prior to 1971 only 1 county record.
