Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Three broad cross bands across the forewing. The basal and outer bands are a pinkish-brown or purplish-brown. The central band is lemon yellow. There is a yellow spot at each wing tip and a wavy yellow line running through the outer cross band. Diagnostic features.
Distribution:  (Last record: 26/10/2024 at Sheffield )  -  A resident that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Primarily associated with mature beech woodland and is scarce in the south of the county. Most numerous in the Derwent Valley.
