ID Difficulty: - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A long and slender winged moth with pale grey or grey ground colour that features several black streaks running through the central area of the forewing. There is also a long black basal streak. The kidney mark is often highlighted with a pale brown. An unmistakable autumn flying moth.
Distribution: Now a well established species across the county and considered to be generally common.
Flight Period: September / October / November / - On the wing September – November.
