Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The bright straw coloured lines running in angles across the forewing and the row of arrow-head  marks on the inner edge of the outer cross-line help to identify this moth from most other species. Both male female have long antennae, feathered in the male.
Distribution:  (Last record: 2024 )  -  A resident that is widely distributed but uncommon in Derbyshire. Found in localised areas of the county, except the Peak Grit. The population varies from year to year. Small numbers recorded annually.
