Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A relatively unmistakable moth. When freshly emerged a bright green with two prominent paler green cross-lines and a variable amount of white, black and darker green marbling. The green colouration wears quickly when exposed to sunlight.
Distribution:  (Last record: 30/07/2024 at Cromford )  -  A resident that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Present in almost all of the Derbyshire Limestone Dales. Small numbers of scattered records from elsewhere in the county each year.
