Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Noctuidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A softly patterned species that has rather blurred markings, a dark hindwing with pure white fringes and pastel shades of grey brown and pale yellowish brown helps to ID the moth. Can show a dark band at the terminal edge of the forewing and faint zig-zag cross lines.
Distribution:  A resident species that is uncommon and locally distributed in Derbyshire. Associated with the uplands and the limestone dales and present in small colonies at low density of populations.
