Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Nolidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: A small triangular shaped moth that could be over looked as a geometrid species. The moth gets its name from the dark greyish brown, sharply demarcated base to the forewings. Bordered with black and gives the appearance of a short cloaked effect when at rest.
Distribution:  A resident species in Derbyshire that is widely distributed and locally common. Although recorded from all areas, it is predominantly a lowland species, with largest densities in the southern lowlands of the county.
