Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Sphingidae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: This is the only small British, yellow-brown and pinkish hawk-moth, so helps to make it unmistakable.
Distribution:  A resident that is widely distributed but generally uncommon in Derbyshire. It often favours older woodlands in the south of the county and is more common in the north, widely distributed along the Derwent Valley.
