Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: The diagnostic feature is a black V mark on the greyish-brown forewing. A large triangular shaped moth at rest. There are also three other black marks along the leading edge of the forewing.
Distribution:  Generally uncommon in Derbyshire, despite being recorded from all areas of the county. Associated with allotments and gardens where there are current bushes.
