Taxonomy:   Macro  >>  Geometridae ID Difficulty:  green  - easy to identify, generally distinctive and unlikely to be confused with other species.
ID pointers: Unmistakeable. An all sooty black moth with the fringes of the forewing edged a chalky white around the wing tip.
Distribution:  Widely distributed and locally common, in the Trent valley and especially in the limestone areas of Derbyshire.
